ABOUT CABC USA
CABC USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to glorifying God by partnering to provide theological training for African Christian leaders.
We partner with Central Africa Baptist University in Kitwe, Zambia, to equip the next generation of pastors, evangelists, educators, sign language speakers, and counselors for Great Commission living.

Phil Gordon
Treasurer
Phil lives in the Cincinnati area with his wife, Lori, and serves as an elder and treasurer at Grace Bible Church of Milford. He retired from Procter & Gamble in 2020 after a 33-year career in Manufacturing Operations and Human Resources. A lifelong supporter of missions, Phil has traveled extensively to assist global ministries. He and Lori have three married daughters and five grandchildren. Phil brings balanced insight and strategic analysis to the CABC USA board.
Kevin Cassidy
Board Member
Kevin serves as the stateside Director of Partner Relations for CABC USA, representing Central Africa Baptist University in local churches and cultivating relationships with ministry partners. He and his wife, Karen, have spent nearly 40 years in church planting and pastoral ministry. With a long-standing passion for missions, Kevin has traveled internationally to teach and train pastors. He brings a strong local church perspective on missions and theological education.
Sam Horn
Board Member
Sam serves as the lead teaching pastor at Palmetto Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. He has over 20 years of pastoral and academic leadership experience, including roles at several Christian universities. Passionate about missions, Sam has helped found two international Bible colleges, including Central Africa Baptist University, and serves as a board member for several mission agencies. Sam brings to CABC USA a strong grasp of higher education and the ability to apply those standards in a cross-cultural context. Sam and his wife, Beth, have two adult children and one grandchild.

Roland Thompson
Board Member
Roland lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Lisa, and is an active member of Bible Baptist Church. With a career spanning startups to Fortune 500 companies across the USA, Europe, and Australia, he brings decades of business leadership rooted in biblical principles. Roland co-leads Thompson & Blackstone, a business think tank and investment platform, and he has co-founded ventures including Frontline Education and CF InFlight, creator of the Emmy-winning Skycam. He brings to CABC USA strategic insight, entrepreneurial experience, and a passion for mentoring young Christian leaders. He and Lisa have three adult children.
